Graduation in any descipline from recognised university.
Note: The University will keep changing the fee from time to time and one will have to find out the details from the Study Centre/Regional Centre.

The Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PGDSW) is the first of its kind in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system in India. It’s being offered from January 2009. It has been designed to provide essential know-how, skills and professional knowledge for the functionaries involved in social welfare and development sectors in the country. The PGDSW is equivalent to the 1st year of MSW Programme of IGNOU.

Those interested in continuing the study in social work for a Masters Degree can join the MSW Programme for the 2nd year and request for credit transfer of PGDSW. The PGDSW Programme is of 36 credits and to be completed over a period of one to four years. It consists of seven compulsory courses including practicum both in English and Hindi.
